George Zimmerman’s family is constantly speaking out against what they believe is his portrayal as a villain in the media. But Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., took it up several notches. He took to Twitter, of course, with asinine defense on behalf of his brother, comparing Trayvon Martin to an alleged teen killer.
Robert Zimmerman Jr. took to the social network on Sunday, sharing a photo of De’Marquis Elkins, a teen charged with the shooting death of a 1-year-old in Georgia, juxtaposed with a picture Trayvon Martin. Both were flipping the middle finger.
He then went on to insinuate that Black boys flipping the bird on social media are criminals, and had the nerve to say that “what these black teens did to a woman and baby is why people think blacks mightB [sic] risky.”
Of course, people were tweeting their opinions. Some agreed some didn’t.
And people think we live in a post-racial society. The blame a Black guy game is still alive and very well. It’s unfortunate that people are so ignorant.
