According to the defense site, the photo was taken by police on the night of Feb. 26 after Zimmerman shot and killed unarmed teen Trayvon Martin. The police report said Zimmerman was “bleeding from the nose and back of his head.”
A previous black-and-white version of the photo had been provided by the state, according to his attorneys. They were given this high resolution digital file on Oct. 29.
Prosecutors have charged Zimmerman with second-degree murder while he claims he shot Martin in self-defense.
