Chris Kelly, of 90s Rap Duo Kris Kross, Dead at Age 34

Another member of the Black music community is gone too soon. Chris Kelly from ‘Kris Kross’, the 90s rap group famous for songs like “Jump”, was found dead on Wednesday after a suspected drug overdose. CLICK HERE to read more.

3 Additional Boston Bombing Suspects in Custody  

Three more suspects have been arrested in connection with the Boston marathon bombings. Police say they were taken in on charges that they helped one of the original suspects conceal and destroy evidence. CLICK HERE to read more.

Morehouse Rape Suspects Released on Bond

Four Morehouse athletes were released on $10,000 bonds after being arrested and charged on two separate rape cases. Three of the men were accused of sexually assaulting an unidentified 18 year old Spelman student over Spring Break. CLICK HERE to read more.

Asian Fraternity Criticized Over Blackface Video

UC Irvine’s Lambda Theta Delta fraternity is under fire after four of their frat brothers made a parody video of Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie”, in which one of the members performed in ‘blackface’ supposedly portraying Jay-Z.  CLICK HERE to read more.

Emmett Till’s Family Now Wants Lil’ Wayne Dropped From Mountain Dew Ad

The Till family is coming for Lil Wayne and apparently, his endorsement deals too. They are urging the rapper’s sponsors, namely, Mountain Dew, to drop him due to an offensive lyrical reference to the late Emmett Till he made in a song three months ago. NBA Player, Jason Collins, Becomes First Openly Gay Active Athlete

Family of Baseball Pitcher in “42”, Blasts Producers for Racist Portrayal

Alabama Woman Shot and Killed While Holding Baby

24 year-old Sherri Williams was shot and killed on her porch in Birmingham, Alabama by a stray bullet while holding her newborn son. Police say she was the unintended victim of a fight between two men at a nearby store, that led to shots being fired. CLICK HERE to read more.
