Serena Williams is close to winning the grand slam this week at the U.S. Open in New York City, and in honor of the superstar athlete, Gatorade has commissioned artists to create a few murals of her in Brooklyn.
The murals are part of Gatorade’s “Serena 21” art series. They honor the tennis pro with paintings on Kent Avenue and Grand Street in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg section.
The murals are dedicated to all 21 of Williams’ grand slams.
In addition to the murals, Gatorade released a video of a young Serena, whose spunk you can see even it her former years.
