‘Washington Post’ Profile Reveals Vice President Mike Pence Won’t Eat Alone With Other Women

To say this new presidential administration is different, would be an understatement. So many things can already be said about President Donald Trump, that some people probably forgot about Vice President Mike Pence and his family.

A recent ‘Washington Post’ profile on Second Lady Karen Pence, introduced us to some of the inner-workings of the Pence marriage. The Pences are known to be religious conservatives and their views don’t just trickle down into the policies Pence has put in place. It also affects their marriage and social cues.

The Second Lady is described as the Vice President’s “prayer warrior” and “gut check and shield.” An interesting comment the Vice President made in 2002 also resurfaced.

It reads as follows, “In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either.”

One would think with such a busy political career, Pence at some point would have to meet with a woman without  his wife present to discuss business. Also, alcohol is readily available at political social events and his wife may not always be available to attend with him.

How the Pences have kept this part of their relationship up for so long, we’ll never know.

Of course this caused a lot of social media discussion and debate with many thinking Pence was in some ways saying men couldn’t control their actions around women.

Something tells us this won’t be the only major revelation we learn about the Pences over these next four years.
