The Upload: Google Donates to Increase Minority Tech Workers

Google is putting its money where its mouth is as it pertains to investing in the future of minorities in technology.

The search giant is making headlines for a $775,000 donation to San Francisco-based Code 2040, a nonprofit that helps minorities identify mentors and job opportunities in the lucrative tech field, according to NBC News.

This effort adds to recent inroads made by other companies, including Intel, which is investing $300 million to increase tech diversity by 2020.  Read more about that HERE.
