Update: Adrian Robinson Committed Suicide

The death of former NFL defensive linebacker Adrian Robinson, 25, has been ruled a suicide.

Robinson died from suicide by hanging, according to the Philadelphia medical examiner’s office.

No further details surrounding his death have been provided.

Robinson, who played football for Temple University, recently signed with the Canadian Football League’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The pro athlete signed on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2012, and appeared in 12 games for the team. He then went on to play for the Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles.

Black males are committing suicide at an alarming rate. A recent study revealed that Black boys were using suicide as an outlet at a much higher rate than any other group of people, for the first time in history.

Robinson is survived by his daughter Avery Marie.
