Father of Tyshawn Lee Charged in Shooting
The father of a 9-nine-year-old boy who was fatally slain execution style has been charged in a triple shooting that left three people wounded.
Pierre Stokes, 25, was charged with three felony counts of aggravated battery for a shooting that took place on Mar. 8 in Chicago’s Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
The shooting occurred roughly a half mile from where his son, Tyshawn Lee, was lured into an alley and shot in what police have called a “hateful act of treachery.”
Stokes, who lives nearby, was identified as the man who shot and injured a 31-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman.
Charges against 22-year-old Dwright Boone-Doty and Cory Morgan, 27, have been filed. Prosecutors said Boone-Doty was the gunman. Morgan and Edwards helped plan the “heinous” murder.
Police are currently searching for a third accomplice, Kevin Edwards.
