Tyler Perry Donates $50k to Paralyzed Hero

On a recent episode of The Steve Harvey Show, Tyler Perry revealed that although he is a man of many, many talents, he’s ready to try his hand at something new: fatherhood.

Michael Patterson, 43, is a hero but he’s paying the price for his good deed, literally. When a 4-year-old girl who got caught inPatterson a creek current Patterson sprung into action to save her life but unfortunately fractured his neck in three places and severed his spine.

Patterson had recently started a new job as a contractor and had no insurance to cover his medical bills. His family’s had already been drained because of his father’s battle with cancer and the fact that his grandfather was bedridden.

They’ve asked for donations to help pay medical bills and Tyler Perry is one of the people who responded to their call. Perry donated $50,000 to help Patterson, who is paralyzed from the waist down.
