Top 10 Most Violent Cities List 2013

For three consecutive years, Flint, Mich. has ranked the highest in violent crimes in the country. There are 2,729.5 violent crimes per 100,000 residents, according to 24/7 Wall Street.

The FBI considers a violent crime murder, non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, YahooNews reports.

Flint’s population is 101,632 and had 63 murders and 1,930 aggravated assaults in 2012. It also reached nationwide highs in burglary rates and arson.

Here’s the list of the most dangerous cities to live in:

1)    Flint, Mich.

2)    Detroit, Mich.

3)    Oakland, Calif.

4)    St. Louis, Mo.

5)    Memphis, Tenn.

6)    Stockton, Calif.

7)    Birmingham, Ala.

8)    New Haven, Conn.

9)   Baltimore, M.D.

10) Cleveland, Ohio
