Today in Black History: Rest in Peace Malcolm X

Malcolm X, born Malcolm Little and also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, was a Muslim minister and human rights activist. Malcolm X, was killed in the Audubon Ballroom in Harlem as he was about to give a speech to the Organization of Afro-American Unity. Malcolm X was praised for his advocacy for African-Americans rights. However, critics lambasted him for speaking about White America in harsh terms for its crimes against Black Americans.
