Emmett Till’s family plans to put urge Lil Wayne’s many sponsors, particularly Mountain Dew, to drop the rapper in light of his recent offensive lyrics about the murdered boy. The Till family is dissatisfied with Weezy’s response to the controversy after he referenced the slain teen in a verse on a remix of Future’s “Karate Chop.”
AllHipHop.com got an exclusive quote from the Till family regarding this course of action, which was sparked primarily by what they feel is Wayne’s lack of response to the situation.
Since, the rapper has not apologized, the Till family have told AllHipHop.com exclusively that they intend to pressure Lil Wayne’s sponsors, namely Mountain Dew.
Shortly, the Till Family are expected to make offensive moves forward to further address Wayne and Mountain Dew, a product of PepsiCo. A similar tactic by women’s group UltraViolet resulted in Reebok dropping Rick Ross from their campaign.

For those who may not know, Emmett Till was a Chicago teen who was kidnapped and tortured to death in 1955, while visiting his family in Mississippi, after allegedly whistling at a White woman. The case marked a turning point in the fight for civil rights for African-Americans.
Epic Records has since pulled the remix from the radio and apologized on Wayne’s behalf.
