Teen Accepted to All 8 Ivy League Schools

A Long Island high school senior has one of the most important, but most exciting decisions to make of his life at the moment. Harold Ekeh has been accepted to not one, not two, but all eight Ivy League institutions!

The 17-year-old has also been accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, New York University and SUNY Stony Brook, according to ABC News.

“Everyone was so excited and surprised,” Ekeh told ABC. “The hard work paid off.”

Ekeh has a very impressive high school resume. He’s conducted scientific research, and founded a mentoring program with a focus on college preparation. He also served as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and vice president of Model United Nations.

Despite his many extra curricular activities, Ekeh’s true passion is medicine. He has until May 1 to decide which school he will attend, but plans to study medicine with an emphasis on neurosurgery.
