Steph Curry, NBA Stars Tackle Gun Violence in PSA
Gun violence has taken so many innocent lives leaving valleys of pain and heartbreak.
For this reason, NBA stars Steph Curry, Joakim Noah, Chris Paul and Camelo Anthony have teamed up with Spike Lee and Everytown.org to release a new PSA calling for an end to gun violence.
Directed by Lee, the public service announcement will make its debut on Christmas.
Viewers will hear stories from Curry as he details the shooting of a three-year-old that hit close to home, as his daughter, Riley is the same age. Carmelo Anthony vividly shares the violence he witnessed as a kid and Chris Paul reflects on his family and two kids.
As Andra Day’s “Rise Up” echoes in the background, the various stories from NBA players and gun violence survivors conclude with a montage and the message: “In the United States, 88 people die of gun violence every day.”
