Star Jones to Lead Women’s Association

TV host and attorney Star Jones was recently appointed the new president of the National Association of Professional Women.

Previously, Jones, who was a co-host on The View, was the chief development officer and national spokesperson for the country’s largest professional women’s networking organization.

“NAPW defines success as ‘owning your own power,'” Jones said in a press release. “I am proud and honored to be the President of such a diverse, all- encompassing professional women’s networking organization. The development team and I have worked diligently to create and strengthen our already successful professional platform. As President of NAPW, I hope to further develop effective, efficient and high-quality benefits and access to our expert networking systems for our members as well as to expand the organization’s future success. 2014 is our Year of Action!”

The organization oversees more than 600,000 memberships and almost 300 local chapters. We wish Jones all the best on her new endeavor!
