CHARLESTON, S.C. — Venus Williams is returning to the Family Circle Cup near Charleston next spring.

Organizers announced the 2004 Family Circle champion’s commitment Tuesday. Williams reached the quarterfinals last year’ before falling to Samantha Stosur. The tournament was won by Williams’ sister, Serena.

Williams said the Family Circle feels like home to her and is a tournament she looks forward to each season. Williams won her first tournament in nearly two years at Luxembourg in October.
