Thomas Howard Dies in Fatal Collision
Thomas Howard, former NFL player, was pronounced dead in a car crash on Monday.
Howard was allegedly driving his BMW down the freeway at 100-110 mph when he hit a big rig and flipped over onto another car facing the opposite direction. It has been confirmed that the 64-year-old driver of the second car, Zeng Long Liu, also died in the collision, according to the Associated Press.
California Highway Patrol has not ruled out alcohol as being the cause of the accident at this time. Meanwhile, former teammates and friends have come forward to mourn the loss of Howard who was once a member of the Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, and most recently the Atlanta Falcons.
“I didn’t lose a best friend or former teammate, I truly lost a brother today in Thomas Howard,” former Raiders teammate Kirk Morrison vented on Twitter.
