Stuart Scott’s Daughters Pose in Front of Mural

This week, Stuart Scott’s daughters, Taelor and Sydni, posed in front of a mural of their beloved father while in Los Angeles for the ESPY Awards.

The sisters posted the picture on their joint Twitter account.

Graffiti artist Jonas Never created the painting in honor of the prolific ESPN sportscaster, who died in January after a 7-year battle with cancer.

During last year’s ESPYs, he was honored with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award, and his moving speech tugged at the heartstrings of many. Several lines from his address have now become mantras.

One is, “When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, while you live and the manner in which you live.”

No word yet on whether the girls are a part of the this year’s program. It airs Wednesday, July 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
