Miami Dolphin Richie Incognito was suspended after being accused of  leaving threatening and racial messages on the phone of his teammate Jonathan Martin, who has since left the team.

According to reports, Incognito left a voicemail for Martin saying, “Hey, wassup, you half n—– piece of [expletive] . . . I saw you on Twitter, you been training ten weeks. [I want to] [expletive] in your [expletive] mouth. [I’m going to] slap your [expletive] mouth. [I’m going to] slap your real mother across the face (laughter). [Expletive] you, you’re still a rookie. I’ll kill you.”

The 30-year-old, who has a record of offenses, also sent Martin a text message referring to him as a “half n*gger” and threatening members of his family.

NFL and Dolphins officials have seen and heard the messages and are currently investigating the matter. The NFL Players Association is stepping in this week to also investigate.

While Martin or Incognito have not made official statements, Incognito took to twitter to respond to the allegations. “Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. Buddha,” he tweeted Sunday night.

This is a damn shame, and clearly, Incognito needs to be punished. Remember Riley Cooper? When will they learn?
