Darren Sharper’s Lawyer to Enter Plea

Darren Sharper was charged with sexual assault in Las Vegas, Friday.

The charge, which is similar to charges filed against him in four different states, stems from a 2014 investigation during which Los Angeles prosecutors stated that the former NFL safety and TV analyst drugged and raped two tourists at a Las Vegas Strip hotel while they were unconscious.

An attorney for Sharper is planning to enter a plea on Monday in two jurisdictions that would resolve allegations pending in California, Vegas, Phoenix and New Orleans.

Prosecutors are zoning in on what they believe to be a drug-and-rape pattern.

Following his 2010 NFL retirement, Sharper pursued an analyst position for the NFL Network. Due to rape allegations, he has since been fired.
