The Republican Party of South Dakota passed a resolution to impeach President Obama on the claims that he has repeatedly “violated his oaths of office in numerous ways.”

According to the Argus Leader, the decision, which was made Saturday, pinpoints the trade of five Taliban detainees for U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, Obama’s promise that people would be able to keep their existing insurance under the Affordable Care Act and recent changes to the Environmental Protection Agency proposal.

“I’ve got a thick book on impeachable offenses of the president,” said Allen Unruh, who sponsored the resolution. Unruh wants to “send a symbolic message that liberty shall be the law of the land.”

The vote occurred at the party’s annual convention in Rapid City with delegates voting 191-176 in favor of the resolution.
