Report: Baltimore Cop Shoots 13-year-old Boy

A 13-year-old boy was injured in a police involved shooting in southeast Baltimore Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred in the unit block of Asquith Street.

According to Police Commissioner Kevin Davis, the boy was holding a replica handgun that appeared to be that of a semi-automatic pistol.

Davis said that police officers saw the boy, who then fled on foot when approached by them, according to ABC 2.

The boy is expected to survive. He is currently being treated at a local hospital.

Officials say the boy’s mother is aware he left the house with the replica firearm. She is being questioned by police who are investigating the incident.
