Report: Aaron Hernandez Involved in Prison Brawl

Convicted murderer and former NFL player Aaron Hernandez apparently got mixed up in a prison fight, a law enforcement source told CNN Tuesday.

Hernandez allegedly agreed to be the lookout for another inmate while he attacked another prisoner in his cell at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.

All three men are being disciplined over the incident, with Hernandez being placed in a special management section. The incident is believed to be gang-related.

A spokesman for the Massachusetts Department of Correction declined to comment.

Hernaandez, who formerly played for the NFL’s New England Patriots, was sentenced to life in prison in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd in June 2013.

A trial date for Hernandez’s double-murder trial in Boston for deaths that occurred in July 2012 may be set by a judge as early as Thursday.
