Jason Collins has been signed for the rest of the season by the Brooklyn Nets. The NBA’s first openly gay player had finished his second 10-day contract, which meant the Nets had to sign him for the remainder of the season if they wanted to keep him. Collins has added five points, six rebounds and six steals in eight games since signing his first deal on Feb. 23.
If the rumors are true, it appears as though Drake and Rihanna are officially an item. According to multiple sources, the pair have decided to go from casual hook-ups to serious dating. A source tells TMZ, Rihanna is looking forward to spending as much time with Drake as possible while additional reports say the Toronto-native is the happiest he’s ever been in a while.
Legendary diva Chaka Khan is kicking off her 61st birthday with a big bang! The 10-time Grammy-Award winning artist will start the celebration on March 19 with a Google+ hangout for her fans. The hangout is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET. Nine of her most loyal fans will be conducting a question and answer session; however, fans from all over the world will have an opportunity to chat with the songstress.
Oprah Winfrey is selling Harpo Studios in Chicago to a developer, but the studio will remain on the property for another two years. Winfrey filmed “The Oprah Winfrey Show” at the studio from 1990 to 2011, when she ended the talk show to start the Oprah Winfrey Network on cable. About 200 people work at the 3.5-acre campus, which will sell for about $32 million, Crain’s reported Sunday. Harpo said it expects to close the transaction in 30 days.
Chris Brown will spend another month in jail after a judge said Monday he was told the singer made troubling comments in rehab about being good at using guns and knives.Brown was arrested on Friday after he was dismissed from a Malibu facility where he was receiving treatment for anger management, substance abuse and issues related to bipolar disorder.
According to TMZ, the rapper has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor batter in the case involving a Los Angeles photographer; however, there is no admission of guilt. In exchange, West must attend 24 private therapy session for anger management and 250 hours of community service.
