Tuskegee Airman Dies

John Edward Allen, a New Mexico veteran who served as a Tuskegee Airman during World War II and later earned honors for his Air Force service during the Vietnam War, died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer. He was 84.

Oprah Gives Boost To Cory Booker

Oprah Winfrey helped the front-runner in the Democratic primary for New Jersey Senate raise cash while his opponents participated in an NAACP debate. Winfrey joined Cory Booker in Jersey City for the Thursday fundraiser, where donors paid between $1,000 and $2,600 a head.

When will people learn?! Larry Arnn, president of Hillsdale College in Michigan, recently referred to minority students as “dark ones” while testifying against adoption of the Common Core Standards for education. The college has since issued an apology.

Yeah, we were surprised he had one, too! The St. Louis-rapper collaborated with Pharrell and Nicki Minaj for “Get Like Me,” the first single of his new album M.O. The CD is scheduled for a September 23 release date, but you can watch the video now. Warning: it’s an explicit one.

John Legend’s “Made to Love”

Nelly isn’t the only one with a new video. John Legend released visuals for his new song “Made to Love.” The video is a bit steamy, so prepare yourself. The R&B crooner’s new CD is scheduled for release on September 3. We can hardly wait!
