 Cut Out Junk Food Ads in Schools, Government Says

It’s not just about what America’s kids are getting in the lunch line. The Obama administration is moving to phase out junk food advertising on football scoreboards and elsewhere on school grounds – part of a broad effort to combat child obesity and create what Michelle Obama calls “a new norm” for today’s schoolchildren and future generations. “This new approach to eating and activity is not just a fad,” Mrs. Obama said Tuesday as she described the proposed rules at the White House.

Outkast to Headline Summerfest 2014

The Grammy-winning hip-hop duo is expected to headline Summerfest 2014.Earlier this year, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and André “3000″ Benjamin announced plans to return to the stage in honor of their 20th anniversary. Summerfest 2014, which takes place June 25-29 and July 1-6 at the Marcus Amphitheater in Milwaukee, is among 40 festivals Outkast plans to play this year. The group will take the stage on June 29 with special guest Gary Clark Jr.

Viola Davis and Shonda Rhimes Team Up for New Show

Shonda Rhimes, the woman responsible for Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, is getting ready to dispense more drama onto the small screen. Rhimes is teaming up with Oscar-nominated actress Davis on a new legal drama pilot, How to Get Away With Murder. In this potential show, Davis stars as Annalise DeWitt, a law professor and renowned criminal defense attorney who becomes entangled in a love affair and a murder plot.

Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard to Star in Empire

It’s a Hustle & Flow reunion…sort of! Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard are set to star opposite one another in FOX’s new family drama Empire, according to TVGuide.com. Lee Daniels of The Butler and Danny Strong of Game Change will write and executive-produce the show.
