Poll: Are the Jacksons’ Sentences Fair?

On Wednesday, former U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. was sentenced to 30 months in prison, while his wife, Sandi Jackson, received a year behind bars for misusing campaign money. The couple had splurged $750,000 on lavish items, such as a gold-plated Rolex watch and mink capes, to vacations and mounted elk heads, according to the Associated Press.     It is sad when those the public trusts place themselves in these positions, further damaging how we view politics and the elite in charge. The bigger let down is the larger shadow cast on those of color and the assumed propensity to lie, cheat and steal.

    The road to redemption will be long and hard for all of us.

    it was not far they should have got more and not had the choice of who goes to jail first if it had been anybody else they both would have went to jail at the same time even if they did have kids
