PHOTOS: A Look Back at Freedom Summer

Fifty years ago, a group of brave men and women took a stand and set about to change the course of U.S. history.

These history makers share their firsthand accounts of what is now known as Freedom Summer in CNN’s two-hour documentary, THE SIXTIES: A Long March to Freedom, Thursday on CNN.
