Phoenix Police Reportedly Kill Unarmed Man

It’s a narrative we’ve read too often recently: a White police officer accused of killing an unarmed Black man.

In the wake of grand jury decisions not to indict the officers in the deaths of Michael Brown Jr. in Ferguson, Missouri and Eric Garner in New York City, yet another case has come to light in Phoenix, Arizona.

On Wednesday, Phoenix police released a media advisory detailing the death of Rumain Brisbon.

According to, Brisbon died Tuesday evening after an officer used lethal force because he felt threatened.

Brisbon was accused of dealing drugs in an SUV with another Black male.
