After receiving much criticism, the Ohio “Voter Fraud” billboards will be taken down. The billboards in question, which warned citizens of the criminal consequences of voter fraud, were dispersed across Ohio and Wisconsin.
The sponsors of the billboards are described as a “private family foundation” says Clear Channel Outdoor, the owner of the billboards. The company, which has a policy against anonymous political ads “thought the best solution was to take the boards down.”
Jim Cullinan, vice president of corporate communications told Reuters that 30 billboards in Cleveland, 30 in Columbus and 85 in Milwaukee will be removed starting on Monday.
