Officer Reportedly Pulls Gun on Preteens
A Georgia fifth grader was building a tree fort with his friends when events took a turn for the worst.
According to 11-year-old Omari Grant, a police officer allegedly pointed a gun at him and his friends after a neighbor saw the boys “chopping off tree limbs” in the woods and called 911.
Omari told a local news channel the officer also used foul language and forced him and his friends to lay on the ground.
The Henry County Police Department is investigating the officer’s actions after Omari’s mother, Janice Baptiste, filed an excessive force complaint.
