Nick Gordon Responsible for Bobbi Kristina Death
In July 2015, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in a suburban Atlanta bathtub, much in the same way her mother, superstar Whitney Houston died three years earlier. Since then, speculation had circulated that her boyfriend Nick Gordon was somehow connected to the 22-year-old’s passing.
On Friday, a judge ruled that Gordon was “legally responsible” for Brown’s death in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against him in August 2015 by Brown’s estate, 11 Alive News reported. The lawsuit sought $50 million in damages.
Attorneys for Bobbi Kristina’s estate brought to the attention of the court, an interview Gordon did on the “Dr. Phil” show as evidence that he ignored a court order prior to Bobbi Kristina’s death. In addition, Gordon failed to appear in court for a hearing on the lawsuit.
An attorney for Brown’s estate spoke to reporters outside of the courtroom and commented on Gordon’s actions.
