Nancy Grace Tells Dad His Missing Son Was Found
Charlie Bothuell V, the 12-year-old boy reported missing from his Detroit home June 14 has been found alive, but you won’t believe where police discovered him – in his father’s basement.
What’s more shocking is that Charlie Bothuell V was told about his child’s whereabouts on live national television by Nancy Grace.
“We’re getting reports that your son has been found … in your basement,” Grace told Bothuell on-air Wednesday night.
The stunned dad was literally speechless for several seconds but managed to eventually utter “what?”
He then went on to explain that he, his wife and the police searched the home thoroughly to no avail.
Officers found the junior hiding behind stacked boxes and a large plastic drum while serving a fourth search warrant on the home, according to WXYZ Detroit. While policemen did inspect the house last week, they are unsure if the boy had been there the entire 1o days he had been missing.
Young Charlie’s stepmother, Monique Dillard-Bothuell, has been taken into custody, and two children have since been removed from the home.
