NABJ: Meet The Black Press

Today marks the first day of the 38th Annual National Association of Black Journalists Conference in Orlando, and everyone is riled up for the “Meet the Black Press” workshop.

Amid the big controversy surrounding the Zimmerman verdict, more fuel will fire the conversation about the importance of the black press.

Seasoned executives and journalists in the media will teach those in the industry how to survive by sharing their expertise on job security and providing helpful tips on creating opportunities for those who find themselves unemployed.

Moderated by Tene’ Croom, the list of panelists include Lee Bailey, Johann Calhoun, Richard B. Muhammad, Reggie Thomas and JET magazine’s very own Editor-in-Chief Mitzi Miller.

Right before the conversation, attendees will listen to Roland Martin and Cloves Campbell at the Black Press Task Force “Mix and Mingle.” It will all take place in meeting room “Miami 1-2” of the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center and start at 11:30 a.m.

Don’t miss out on this year’s conference. It’s definitely going to be a good one!
