WATCH: Michael Brown’s Mom on Ferguson Decision

“Sleepless, very hard, heartbreaking and unbelievable.”

That’s how Lesley McSpadden described the last 36 hours since a Ferguson, Missouri grand jury decided not to indict the police officer accused of killing her 18-year-old son Michael Brown Jr.

McSpadden spoke to Today’s Savannah Guthrie, along with her husband Michael Brown Sr. and attorney Benjamin Crump, Wednesday morning.

In an interview with ABC’s Good Morning America, Officer Darren Wilson said he “never wanted to take anybody’s life” and feels “sorry” about the teenager’s death.

McSpadden also said Wilson’s “demonic” description of her son was disrespectful and “added insult to injury.”

The grand jury’s decision incited protests across the country on Monday and Tuesday.

Michael Brown Jr.’s family plans to take the case to federal and civil court.
