Medical Marijuana for Kids
With medical marijuana now being legal in 17 states, and counting, some parents are making purchases for their children. Don’t worry, this isn’t the new family activity and Monopoly still has its place on game night. Some parents are letting their children who have autism, cancer, epilepsy, to name a few, use marijuana to help alleviate some of the symptoms that come with the above.
Within the states that have passed the law, some even permit prescriptions be written for children. Parental supervision is needed.
This controversial treatment has attracted critics. NBC News tells readers The American Academy of Pediatrics is arguing that more testing needs to be done because there can be some long-term problems in the future.
