Mark Zuckerberg Calls Out Racist Employees
Racial profiling, racism and police brutality experienced by African Americans has been amplified thanks to many social justice movements in recent months.
While social media is a great tool to spread awareness of the inequalities faced by people of color in America, it also allows racist individuals to voice their opinions.
And some employees of Facebook have been called out by Founder Mark Zuckerberg for their discriminatory views.
In a private memo posted on the company’s employees only announcement page, Zuckerberg acknowledged that workers had been writing “All lives matter” over “Black lives matter” on the company’s famous signature wall.
“Despite my clear communication at Q&A last week that this was unacceptable, and messages from several other leaders from across the company, this has happened again,” Zuckerberg wrote. “I was already very disappointed by this disrespectful behavior before, but after my communication I now consider this malicious as well.”
