Iconic Soul Singer Bobby Womack Dies At 70
‘If you’re blessed to be able to wait on what’s important to you, a lot of things will change in life.” – Bobby Womack, 2009
Legendary soul singer Bobby Womack has passed at the age of 70. As of now, there is not a reported cause of death; however, he has dealt with medical issues in the past.
Music was the gift that he gave to the world. A soulful song and energy through the strength his voice possessed illuminated any ear that would listen. In 2009, Womack was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. With hit songs such as, “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” and “Across 110th Street,” his voice and musicality will be missed.
He was truly one of Cleveland’s finest and a gem to the art of music.
The singer was set to begin his tour in promotion of the award-winning The Bravest Man In The Universe album in July.
