It seems those looking for basketball talent like to get in their looks early, much to the chagrin of doting dad (and basketball star) Lebron James. Coaches are already checking for his 10-year-old son, Lebron James Jr., whose b-ball skills went viral this week.
News spread on Monday of a highlight reel featuring the fourth-grader hooping it up and it was pretty impressive. James told CBS Detroit he was taken aback by college coaches already scouting his son:
“Yeah, he’s already got some offers from colleges, it’s pretty crazy. It should be a violation, you shouldn’t be recruiting 10-year-old kids.”
Still, James couldn’t hide that he was proud of his son’s skills:
“It’s crazy, he plays just like I did. He has great awareness and he’d rather pass first and set guys up. Most kids nowadays just want to score.”
