Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been hospitalized after doctors found a blood clot that could possibly cause serious health issues, reports NPR. Clinton’s aides say the blood clot is the result of her December 13th accident where she suffered a concussion after fainting from dehydration, and hitting her head. Philippe Reines, a Clinton spokesman, revealed that Mrs. Clinton is being treated at New York- Presbyterian Hospital and will be under close watch for the next 48 hours so doctors can monitor her blood-thinning medications.
UPDATE: The New York Times reports that Hillary Clinton has been released from the hospital.
“Her medical team advised her that she is making good progress on all fronts, and they are confident she will make a full recovery,” the State Department said.
