Halle Berry, The Business Woman

Halle Berry manages to make headlines with family drama, but when it comes to her business moves, she keeps a low-profile while stacking bank.

The A-list actress added the title of business owner to her lengthy career rap sheet when she launched Scandale Paris last year.

Berry and her business partner Erik Ryd, bought the lingerie company at a time when the brand was struggling due to its expensive price tag. Under the new ownership, panties and bras now sell for $7 and $18 bras at Target and Carrefour in France.

And no, she doesn’t just sit back and collect the income. Halle is hands-on with production, choosing fabrics and giving creative input on the design of the garments. Moving forward, the mother of two plans to extend Scandale Paris to include bathing suits and nightgowns.

Distribution is also in the works for expansion. Within the next few months, Berry’s business will be sold in Asia, Canada, and other European countries.

And if this bit of information slipped your radar, Halle is currently filming the second season of CBS series, Extant, which returns on July 1st.
