Ex-New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin Heads to Prison
Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin is set to begin his 10-year sentence in a federal prison on Monday.
Nagin, 58, was convicted in February on charges including conspiracy, bribery, money laundering, wire fraud and filing false tax returns, according to the Associated Press.
He is scheduled to serve his time in Texarkana, Texas. In July, Nagin announced plans to file an appeal.
