Do-It-All Drake is Set to Host The First-Ever ‘NBA Awards On TNT’ This Summer

The Most Valuable Player Award goes to..Drizzy Drake

Drake has been seen on the sidelines of NBA games more than we can count. He steadily supports his hometown team Toronto Raptors in his role as Ambassador and doesn’t hesitate to cheer on the league’s biggest stars. Well the mega-star’s enthusiasm has not gone unnoticed. The NBA has tapped the Toronto native to host the first-ever NBA Awards On TNT.

Drake mentioned this hosting opportunity back in January on Kentucky coach John Calipari’s podcast but the NBA made an official announcement on Tuesday. Slated to broadcast on Monday, June 26 at 9 p.m., the event will take place at at Basketball City at Pier 36 in New York City. Feature presenters will be handing out awards for Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, Kia NBA Sixth Man Award, Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Kia NBA Most Improved Player, and NBA Coach of the Year. Additionally, several fan-voted awards will also be in the mix and said to be revealed on TNT’s Inside the NBA on Thursday, April 27.
