Chicago Bulls Guard Derrick Rose was struck in the face by an elbow during practice Tuesday. He was taken by the Bulls medical staff to Rush University Medical Center for testing and evaluation, according to NBA.com.
Doctors determined he sustained a left orbital fracture. Rose consulted with several specialists, who determined he will require a surgical procedure, which will take place Wednesday at Rush Hospital.
A timetable for return to play will be determined after the procedure.
