Cornel West Compares Obama to Zimmerman
There are probably hundreds of negative comments thrown at President Barack Obama on a daily basis and his reaction to George Zimmerman’s verdict in the Trayvon Martin case didn’t seem to appease the critique squad too much.
Dr. Cornel West is a widely known activist and he hasn’t been shy is sharing his opinion on some of Obama’s decisions. As a matter of fact, he seems to always critique him. Well earlier this week, West did an interview with Democracy Now and attacked the president’s response on the national case.
The noted author called the president “a global George Zimmerman” because he sees the murder of Martin as the same thing Obama is doing every day when he tries to “rationalize the killing of innocent children” in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen. West also added that the White House leader has “very little moral authority” when it comes to addressing Martin’s case.
West’s co-host, Tavis Smiley of the “Smiley & West” radio show had some negative remarks, too. He took to Twitter and tweeted, “Took POTUS almost a week to show up and express mild outrage. And still, it was as weak as pre-sweetened Kool-Aid.”
Sounds like both of them are itching to share a few choice words with the head of state in private.
