Chicago Faith Leaders Protest CPD Stations
Faith leaders took to all 25 police district stations in Chicago as part of a “Palm Sunday Takeover” on March 20.
The protesting churches called for an end to police brutality along with the passage of an ordinance known as FAIR COPS, which stands for the Freedom through Accountability Investigation and Reform for Community Oversight of Policing Services.
The group of community and religious leaders held signs, staged “die-ins” and delivered palms to police stations.
