Charges Dropped against Times Square “Spider-Man”
There has been an interesting twist in the case involving 25-year-old Junior Bishop who poses as the Spider-Man character in Times Square.
Accused of panhandling, Bishop was arrested in July of 2014 for a scuffle he had with New York officers where he allegedly hit a cop causing his glasses to break. As a result he was charged with assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrests.
Calling the move “unusual,” the Daily News reports that the charges have been dismissed on “speedy trial grounds.”
