A 10-year-old boy in Massachusetts placed a phone call to local law enforcement all because he didn’t want to go to bed.
According to WHDH-TV 7, Danny Rosario dialed 911 after his mother told him to go to bed. He hung up the phone before speaking with anyone, but police called back and eventually sent an officer out to the home.
“I told him to go to bed and he doesn’t want to go to bed,” Shamayne Rosario, the boy’s mother, told the dispatcher. “He’s like, ‘I’m going to call the cops on you.’ I said, ‘Go ahead.'”
An officer came to the home and upon the mother’s request spoke with the child about what he did and why it was wrong.
“I said, ‘Make this a learning experience for him,” she said.
While abusing the 911 system can be a criminal offense, no charges were filed in this case.
How would you have handled this as if you were his mother?
