Suspected Boko Haram Spies Arrested
Four suspected Boko Haram spies were arrested by Nigerian Army troops, according to government officials for the country.
Among those arrested is a man believed to have carried out surveillance on the Madalla church before it was bombed, Colonel Sani Usman said in a statement sent to All Africa.
Police say the men carried out surveillance missions for the terrorist group on target for suicide bombings or attacks.
“Luck ran out for them when Victor Moses went to a mosque in Bauchi and pretended that he wanted to be converted to Islam and the people suspecting that he was not genuine, promptly reported the matter,” Colonel Usman added.
Nigerian officials say Moses confessed to casing targets for suicide bomb attacks including that of the Catholic Church Madalla, Suleja, Niger State on Christmas Day in 2011.
Colonel Usman said the captives are currently undergoing further interrogation.
