Bill O’Reilly Already Has A New Job..Sighs
Raise your hand if you knew it was only a matter of time before Bill O’Reilly had another job. It’s barely been a week since Fox News announced the longtime political commentator would no longer have a job at the network, and O’Reilly is on to the next opportunity.
Starting Monday (today), O’Reilly will have a podcast which will have the same conservative rhetoric as his former Fox News show, “The O’Reilly Factor.” He announced this latest venture on his website with the tagline, “Monday. No Spin News Returns.”
O’Reilly was let go from Fox News largely due to the backlash the network was receiving after several women made sexual harassment allegations against the TV personality and were awarded $13 million in a settlement.
The ‘New York Times’ exposed the story in January and advertisers immediately started dropping their slots from the show. Come the second week of April, O’Reilly was on vacation and on the day he returned, Fox News said he would no longer be with the network.
Along with his termination, O’Reilly will receive a severance package; something to the tune of $40 million, which is what former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes received when he was pushed out after his own sexual harassment allegations.
O’Reilly will probably be back on TV by fall.
